chapter 7
Colordo was turned i into an execution town. There were meat packing facilities built where up to 100,000 cattle can be stored and killed/ processed for meat and animal food. There soon became a rise in disasswembly lines. These were the line in which the animals were cut up by machines and packed with great speed. These facilities became places where there would be thousands of animals murdered on a daily basis. Also these were the places where these big corpotations would hire immigrant workers because they worked for cheap and very dilligently.
Gems: Before Greely became a Meatpacking town it was a utopian community of farmers.
IBP put new slaughterhouses in rural areas and close to feedlots but far away form labor unions
I think its crazy how we just kill animals for business and then the people that are killing the animals for us are treated like garbage while the companies sit back and get rich. the workes are what make the companies succeed and for them to work and then in top of that be treated poorly and still contiue to work shows that these corporations d not care about yo. If you were desperate for a job then you would do this work and you would not complain.
